BUS100: Business Management
Running a business can be really fun, but it can also demand a lot of responsibility, work ethic, and time. The last thing you want to do is invest a lot of money into a business only to find out it is not what you expected it to be. In this class, we explore the various aspects of business management, from start to expansion. Topics we will cover include:
- Business Management Functions
- Financial Decision Making
- Operations Management
- Human Resources
This course aims to help students learn the fundamental aspects of business management. Students will prepare for and participate effectively with classmates, building on each other’s ideas and expressing their own clearly and persuasively. Additionally, students will present information, findings, and supporting evidence in such a way that listeners can follow the line of reasoning, and the organization, development, and style are appropriate to the task, purpose, and audience.
You will need to access your student portal every week to complete the assignments and engage in the weekly Zoom discussions. All reading material will be provided to you in your lesson tab. This class involves outside research.
